Thank you for sharing this with us, Sam. This is a magical journey that you have written about Sam! You have used lovely adjectives to describe the tree and its surroundings: '... the broad, gnarled oak tree...' and 'a carpet of red leaves led up to the door...' Wonderful choices! I wonder if a tree like this really exists. Maybe we should all keep a good look out next time we're in the woods! Well done.
