11 Plus Writing Year 6

Year 6 term-time courses: 11+ creative and essay writing

Year 6 classes begin in September 2026 and are designed for students who have previously studied with Anna in Year 5. The course moves at a fast pace and builds on skills taught in earlier classes.

Students revise and practise all key 11+ writing formats, including:

• Stories and descriptions
• Recounts and diary entries
• Informal and formal letters
• Discursive and persuasive essays
• Persuasive speeches

These classes prepare students for autumn grammar school and independent school entrance exams.

Booking information

Year 6 classes cannot be booked online.

If your child has not previously attended a Year 5 course but requires Year 6 tuition for autumn 11+ examinations, please contact Anna directly at info@myhomeclass.co.uk to discuss suitability and availability.

Can I add more than one class to my basket?

Yes. Add as many classes as you like to your basket. You will be sent a confirmation email on booking. Please check SPAM/JUNK.


Can I cancel a class?

Once booked, if you decide that a course is unsuitable for your requirements, please contact Anna. Any classes not yet taken within the 9-week course will be refunded.


How do I find out more about a class?

How do we join a booked lesson?

Once you have booked via this website, you will receive a confirmation email (check SPAM/JUNK). Anna will be notified of your booking and if your child is new to Anna's classes, Anna will contact you to discuss arranging a telephone conversation before the course starts in order to discuss your child's exact requirements. She will then email you the Zoom link and class resources.
