This is such an enjoyable story to read, Ciona, because there is a lot of detail and you have used dialogue to tell us more about the characters and to move the plot forwards. You have remembered to use powerful verbs and adjectives (e.g., gasped / rusty), and you have started a sentence with a subordinating conjunction, 'After...', and the adverb, 'Then ...' Super job!
