We were thinking about how to use a fronted adverbial to give our reader information on either the PLACE in which something happens, or the TIME that something happens. You have started your description with a PLACE adverbial phrase, and it really sets the scene. You chose to repeat the adjective 'deep', and this makes us really understand just how secluded and mysterious this forest is. Who would know that you can tell your reader so much in just 5 words (In a deep, deep forest)?! Well done!
