Children's writing: The Magic Tree (a description) - by Adrian

Your description of a magic tree is just wonderful, Adrian. It is packed with beautiful imagery and starts with a very powerful simile:

Standing like a corkscrew, a magic tree dwelled in the foggy forest.

 

Then, you don't just describe the trees of the forest in a boring way, but you create an image by likening them to an umbrella shape:

 

An umbrella of leaves ...

 

Also, what is most impressive about you as a writer, Adrian, is that you are not afraid of changing your ideas. We can see this because you have crossed out lots of your first ideas and changed them for better ones. You always read your work back, and this is a very good habit to get into.
